Sweden's June 2026 reform is a real structural change, not just a higher number: the salary threshold is now tied to 90% of the national median wage (SEK 33,390/month) rather than a fixed figure, reviewed annually as new wage data comes out. Critically, the threshold that applies to your case is set by your decision date, not your application date — even an application filed before the reform can be assessed against the new, higher threshold if Migrationsverket decides it on or after 1 June 2026.
