Poland's EU Blue Card threshold rises every year with the national average salary — as of 9 February 2026 it's PLN 13,355.34/month gross (roughly €37,100/year), a real jump from prior years. The contract itself matters as much as the number: it must be a standard employment contract (umowa o pracę) or, in some cases, a specific civil-law contract (umowa zlecenie) for at least a year — a B2B/self-employment arrangement doesn't qualify under any circumstances, and pay has to be in zloty through Polish payroll, not topped up with foreign-currency payments or allowances.
Cost: PLN 440 for the residence permit decision + PLN 100 for the residence card
