Critical Skills needs a genuine job offer first — either for a role on the published Critical Skills Occupations List (lower salary bar) or, for any other role, a much higher salary instead. It's a fast, well-trodden route for ICT and engineering professionals specifically, and one of the few employment permits that lets you bring immediate family with you from day one and puts you on a path to a Stamp 4 (fully open work) permission after 2 years.
