This is a genuinely employer-driven, sector-limited route — you cannot apply on your own initiative. An Icelandic employer in tourism, agriculture, or fish processing must have already tried and failed to fill the role from within the EEA/EFTA labour market before they can sponsor a non-EEA worker under this permit. It's time-limited (seasonal, up to around 6 months) and tied to that specific employer and role, not a path to an open-ended stay.
Cost: Around ISK 15,000
