The full guide

Estonia was one of the first EU countries to offer a dedicated Digital Nomad Visa (DNV), issued as either a short-stay Schengen (type C) or long-stay (type D, up to 1 year) visa depending on how long you plan to stay. It's built for people whose work is genuinely location-independent — remote employees of a foreign company, freelancers/consultants with mostly foreign clients, or owners of a business registered outside Estonia — and the whole application turns on proving both the €4,500/month income and that the work really can be done from anywhere.

Cost: Roughly €100
