Positive List trades a lower salary bar for a narrower, occupation-specific gate — your salary only needs to meet Danish standards for the specific occupation, not the much higher Pay Limit Scheme threshold. But the lists (Higher Education and Skilled Work, updated every 1 January and 1 July) genuinely shrank in 2026 — Higher Education from 187 to 180 professions, Skilled Work from 65 to 54 — meaning an occupation that qualified a year ago may no longer be listed.
