Austria — work
Austria Red-White-Red Card (Very Highly Qualified Workers)
Requirements we check
The full guide
This is one of the few EU routes where clearing the points bar (70/100) lets you enter without a job offer at all — via a 6-month job-seeker visa specifically for this purpose. Once you have a qualifying offer, you convert to the actual 24-month, employer-tied Red-White-Red Card. Language evidence has a strict, narrow standard: only ÖSD, Goethe-Institut, TELC, or ÖIF certificates count, and they must be less than 5 years old.
